The freehold for Vanbrugh Court is owned by a company formed and run by the residents themselves. This allows us to manage the building in our best interests and to be vigilant about expenditure, which has proven to be very successful and cost efficient.
The name of the company is VANBRUGH COURT RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION LIMITED, registered No. 02356356. Every leaseholder (owner) becomes a shareholder of the company when they buy their flat.
The company is run by six of the residents who are appointed directors. If there is a vacancy, any resident can put themselves forward to be a director at the Annual General Meeting. The directors are responsible for generally managing the affairs of the company, appointing auditors and managing agents, and for overseeing the maintenance of the block.
The directors meet regularly throughout the year or in response to any specific issues that arise. Other leaseholders can contact the directors about any issues they wish to raise. Tenants should raise issues through their letting agent or landlord. See the Contact page for more information.
